This is a genuine French military M-35/M-38 motorcycle coat.
This vintage piece dates back to the 1940s. The stamp on the collar, "STE D. HAUSER LILLE," indicates it was made by a well-known military supplier located in Lille, northern France.
This is an early to mid-period model, featuring metal buttons instead of the later cotton twill and plastic buttons. The fabric has a unique nubby texture, retaining a rough and thick feel.
The manufacturer's stamp is clearly visible. The often-missing waist belt is also included.
