Fresh Insights into the Living Word of God...The Holy Quran has not ceased since the beginning of the revelation to provide successive generations with new insights into its meanings and interpretation. In order to convey the idea that Quran is a Living Word, God uses the symbol of a tree that is firmly rooted below and towers above seasonally producing fruits:Have you not seen how Allah sets forth the parable of a goodly word which is like a goodly tree. Its root is firmly established [in the earth] and its branches [extending] into the heaven.
