In 1966, a crate is uncovered within the Vatican archives, containing photographs and notes that once belonged to Franz Alessandro von Hohenberg, an Austrian explorer who disappeared in the early twentieth century. The images appear to document Hell, Purgatory, and Paradise.The book organizes this material as if it were authentic, following a path freely inspired by the three realms of The Divine Comedy, without presenting itself as a reference text or a faithful interpretation of Dante’s work. Narrative structures and key plot elements have been intentionally altered for artistic and fictional purposes.The images were generated using artificial intelligence and subsequently reworked by hand through printing, artificial aging, and digital drawing and retouching.
