UKRAINE: The Power of the Blue and the Yellow Hardcover – October 23, 2025

When the war in Ukraine began, Elliott Curson responded by posting images of the Ukrainian flag to show his solidarity against this unnecessary war. In a creative twist, he replaced the yellow portion of the flag with a yellow car―each car paired with an encouraging line of text. There's no question where Elliott stands. He opens his book, however, not with Ukraine but with a look back to 1980, when he was brought onto Ronald Reagan's presidential campaign after Reagan lost the Iowa caucus to George H. W. Bush. Curson highlights a television commercial he produced at the time, which presented Russia as America's adversary. The spot closed with Reagan declaring, "It's nice to be liked, but it's more important to be respected."
