Wood Owl, located in Miki, Japan, has specialized in the production of drill bits for the woodworking industry since 1923. While the factory is highly mechanized, many of the operations are still performed by hand by skilled workers. This is a 5/8” diameter fast boring bit. This bit is designed to be used in a cordless drill and will extend battery life by as much as 35%. It can also be used in a drill press with excellent results. This bit is precision ground and sharpened for even and easy cutting of accurately sized holes. This bit has unique chamfered cutting edges to start on target, drill fast and clean holes with minimal blowout. It is made from high carbon steel that is fully induction hardened for long life. Bit is 6 1/2" long and has 1/4" quick release hex shank.
